The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 33i was introduced in late 2011/early 2012 replacing Jeanneau’s earlier 32 & 32i small cruisers. Like the 32 & 32i models the 33i has a remarkably spacious interior for her size, but is slightly larger benefiting from over a foot of additional legnth in comparison to the earlier 32 & 32i models.
The 33i makes an ideal yacht for a smaller family providing two double cabins. It therefore permits ‘Mum & Dad up front’ with one or two children sharing the stern cabin or two couples sharing.
The Sun Odyssey 33i is fast and seaworthy and an excellent choice for comfortable family cruising.
The Sun Odyssey 33i can be comfortably managed by a crew of two owing to her smaller size and lighter weight. She sails well and continues the reputation Jeanneau enjoy of building quick and nimble cruising yachts providing entertaining, yet safe and stable sailing.
The Greek Sails Sun Odyssey 33i yachts are equipped with wheel steering, roller reefing genoa and slab-reefed mainsail with lazy jacks & sail bag and chartplotter. The mainsail uses single-line reefing with reefs 1 & 2 rigged.
Instrumentation includes a binnacle compass, speed, log and echo sounder instrument in the cockpit and a GPS, chartpolotter, DSC VHF radio & EPIRB by the chart table. Charts and pilot guides are provided.
Our 33i yachts are equipped with a Simrad SonicHub marine audio system with iPod & MP3 docking station. The system also includes a remote control and speakers in both the main cabin and cockpit, allowing you to listen and control your music as you sail.
The Sun Odyssey 33i offers a main saloon, two cabins and a single toilet/shower room (‘heads’ in sailing talk) with hot water. Each cabin has a double berth giving four berths plus the saloon seats are convertible to berths although we would only recommend this for children. Each cabin has a hanging wardrobe.
The galley includes a sink, top-entry fridge, twin-burner cooker with grill and plenty of storage both behind the worktop & cooker and below the sink.
Outside the cockpit has teak lazerette seats with bimini and external loudspeakers connected to the CD/radio.
The Sun Odyssey 33i provides a single heads to port, a forepeak cabin with hatch onto the foredeck and one rear cabin. There is a chart table to port in front of the galley with control panel, GPS, DSC VHF radio, EPIRB and CD/radio player.
Please note that photographs used on this page may not necessarily be of Greek Sails flotilla & charter yachts and actual fittings and specification may differ. Specifically, Greek Sails Sun Odyssey 33i sailing yachts are equipped with biminis which are not shown in the photographs. Also, images show the 33i Performance model with the mainsheet brought down to a mid-cockpit traveller. Instead, Greek Sails 33i yachts have the mainsheet brought down to a traveller on the cabin roof forward of the companionway with lines lead back to the cockpit. This leaves the cockpit uncluttered.
