The Sun Magic 44 is a large cruising yacht suitable for groups of 8 or 9 adults.

Our Sun Magic 44 is often used for ‘cabin charter’ sailing holidays where we assemble a crew and provide a skipper to manage the yacht throughout your sailing holiday.

The Jeanneau Sun Magic 44 is a spacious cruising yacht capable of accommodating a large group of up to 9 adults and so is excellent for a large family or group with a crew of three or four.

Sailing

The Jeanneau Sun Magic 44 can be managed by a crew of two although a larger crew of three or four makes mooring and other tasks easier. She sails well and has a good reputation as a speedy cruising yacht providing entertaining, yet safe and stable sailing.

The Jeanneau Sun Magic yacht is equipped with rolling genoa and slab-reefed mainsail with lazy jacks and sail bag. The mainsail uses single-line reefing with reefs 1 & 2 rigged.

Instrumentation includes a binnacle compass and Raymarine ST60 tridata in the cockpit and a GPS, DSC VHF radio & EPIRB by the chart table. Charts and pilot guides are provided.

The yacht is equipped CD/radio player with speakers in the main cabin and external speakers in the cockpit, allowing you to listen to music as you sail.

Accommodation

The Jeanneau Sun Magic 44 offers a main saloon, four cabins and two two toilet/shower rooms (‘heads’ in sailing talk). Each cabin has a double berth giving eight berths and the saloon seats are convertible to berths although we don’t recommend this. Each cabin has a hanging wardrobe.

The galley includes a double sink, top-entry fridge, twin-burner cooker with oven and plenty of storage both behind the worktop & cooker and below the sinks.

Outside the cockpit has a teak sole and teak lazerette seats with bimini and external loudspeakers connected to the CD/radio.

Internal layout

The Jeanneau Sun Magic 44 provides two toilets/wc/shower rooms (heads), one to port at the foot of the companionway and a further heads forward towards the forepeak cabin. The forward cabin includes a hatch onto the foredeck. There is a twin bunk cabin to port forward and two rear cabins. The starboard rear cabin includes an additional bunk making three bunks in the cabin giving a total of 10 berths in the yacht including the saloon berth.

There is a chart table to starboard with control panel, GPS, DSC VHF radio, EPIRB and CD/radio player.
